SOCIAL NETWORKS:  Beneficial or harmful?

The Problem:

Adult people believe that they are useless,  a waste of time, money and electricity. They think              Social Nets can become addictive so students don’t do homework well.

Advantages: We think that social networks are good tools because…

1.- We can communicate with people all over the world

2.- We can share information with our classmates

3.- We can get information about different topics

4.- We can buy cheaper things than in the malls

5.- We can talk with teachers or professionals in our homes

We can promote social support

·         Learn new skills outside of school

·         Book hotels and restaurants.

·         From your house, you can

Disadvantages:

1.- People can steal private information

2.-Children and teenagers are exposed to harmful images or content, such as commercial scams, harassment, pornography and incitement to racism and suicide

3.- You can be seduced

4.- You can be victim of cyber bullying

Recommendations:

1.-You mustn´t  keep in touch  with strangers

2.-You mustn´t add strangers

3.-You mustn´t give your personal information

4.- You shouldn´t stay in internet more than 1 hour

You should change your password from time to time.

You mustn’t share your personal and private photos

If you are victim of cyber bullying or sexual harassment you must communicate with your parents, friends or police.
